Braze Blind Spot Sensors™ now available in Australia

TORONTO, May 13th, 2025 – Toronto-based Braze Mobility Inc., developer of the world’s first blind spot sensors that can be added to any wheelchair, and Brisbane-based Paragon Mobility, a leading Australian provider of mobility and assistive technology solutions, have announced a new distribution agreement.

This partnership marks a significant step in bringing innovative safety technology to wheelchair users across Australia. Through this collaboration, Braze Blind Spot Sensors™ will now be accessible via Paragon Mobility’s extensive national dealer network, enabling broader reach and easier access for both clinicians and end users. With local support and product availability, wheelchair users across the country will have the opportunity to experience increased confidence and independence through Braze Mobility’s cutting-edge technology, which is being showcased at the ATSA (Assistive Technology Suppliers Australia) Independent Living Expo in Perth and Melbourne.

“This partnership is a major milestone in Braze Mobility’s global expansion and in our commitment to improving mobility and independence for wheelchair users,” said Dr. Pooja Viswanathan, CEO and founder of Braze Mobility. “Paragon Mobility’s expertise and dedication to innovation make them the ideal partner to bring our blind spot sensor technology to the Australian market.”

“We are excited to offer this unique technology to our customers and clinical partners,” said David Fagan, Director at Paragon Mobility. “The Braze Blind Spot Sensors™ System complements our mission to bring advanced, user-centered solutions to Australians living with disabilities. This technology has the potential to greatly reduce wheelchair accidents and help users move more safely and independently.”

Collisions are a common issue for wheelchair users, sometimes leading to serious injuries or restrictions on mobility. The Braze Blind Spot Sensors™ enhance access by detecting obstacles and delivering real-time feedback through lights, sounds, and vibrations—empowering users with greater confidence and independence.
